My Grandmother the P.I.

Seventeen-year-old Mandy Winthrop has been raised by her grandmother, who runs a private detective business. During the summer, she takes a summer job as her grandmother's secretary and gets herself and her friends, Rita, who's keen on cosmetology, and Charlie, a computer wiz, into trouble. When Mandy stumbles upon a child kidnapping scheme, she meets a mysterious man and puts her grandmother at risk. In an explosive ending, Mandy learns the truth about her parents.

Carol Hazelwood graduated from the University of Berkeley in Criminology and lives in Palm Desert, California. In 1986 she revitalized the Newport Beach Literacy Program. She was women's golf champion at Bel Aire Country Club and remains involved with sports. She interacts with authors of all genres through her community's Writers Circle . She is a widow with three married sons, four grandchildren, and two great grandsons. Writing is her passion and her joy.
