Poems From the Garden of my Soul

This poetry book is the first edition. It contains about 50 pages and 35 poems. The poems are the result of years of contemplation and observations of life and events that unfold in the world. It contains the author's inspirational thoughts of a deeply spiritual nature; derived from reflections on the creation, observations of natural phenomena ; popular behaviours, and contemporary events. In the poems the readers will come across a mixture of spritual experiences e.g in Reflect and Ponder; Love of My Life; Whispers of the Soul etc.; and tributes to famous personalities e.g. Prophet Muhammad, Prophet Jesus, Mahatma Ghandi; and observations of natural phenomena e.g. The Little Bee, Wishes of the little Ant, The Camel, Waters from Heaven etc.; and a touch of satire and humor as well. e.g. Cat versus Dog; The Parrot and the Puppet; The Bowler and the Batsman; and contemporary events e.g. Drums of War, Propaganda War etc. and many others that make for absorbing reading. A must read indeed!

I was born in Cape Town South Africa during the years of Apartheid in June 1950. I am not a schooled poet. I simply write down inspirational thoughts I feel I would like to share. I was a drop-out law student back in the days when I was forced to seek employment due to familial indigence. My paternal ancestry hails from India from the coastal city of Porbander where Mahatma Ghandi also hails from. My maternal ancestry is a mixture of Dutch and Indian. I am an avid comparative religious student with a deep love for divine scripture. Much of my inspirations stem from this source.
I love Peace, Justice and Freedom for all regardless of race, religion or creed.
