"If your life feels heavy, unsuccessful, or not worth living - or if the world seems confusing, messy, and full of suffering - this book explains why, how we got here, and how to lift that weight to live a deeply meaningful life."
From the very first pages, author Kyaw Thu Han asks a timeless question: What is the essence of life?
In this thought-provoking book, he challenges that we do not understand how much valuable of our daily works are and the true meaning of money. He argues that simply donating to whoever we please isn't as virtuous as we think-and that many of us misunderstand the original purpose of religions and how it relates to law and order.
Modern people are often confused-not knowing what is truly good or bad, or which direction to take in life. This book offers clear, practical answers to these questions, helping readers find peace, clarity, and a sense of purpose. Ultimately, Mr. Kyaw Thu Han asks the boldest question of all: How can we achieve everything we truly want in life?
Modern neuroscience confirmed how our every action leaves a lasting imprint on the brain. But what does it really mean in our lives and with the right knowledge? How we can harness this process to our advantage?
Unlike other books on philosophy that speak in abstract terms, Next Step for Sapiens is written in everyday language that allows readers to test its ideas against their own lives. When truth is known through direct experience, it becomes unshakable.
Step by step, this book shows how each of us can become more fulfilled, ethical, and productive. And as individuals awaken, so will humanity-ushering in a future brighter than we ever imagined.
My name is Kyaw Thu Han and I am just an ordinary man with an extraordinary hope for humanity.
Since the age of 13, I have carried a quiet but persistent calling:
"I want to help extinguish suffering from the world and contribute to the advancement of human civilization."
At the time, I didn't know how. All I had were big dreams and no real path forward.
That changed in 2020, when I came across a book that explained the concept of Tanha written by Sayadaw U Nyarna.
In that moment, I realized that even my wildest dreams were small compared to the true potential of humanity—if only the lost discovery of the Buddha could be made visible to the world once again.
From that point on, I made a quiet vow:
One way or another, I must dedicate my life to spreading this understanding. Although I never dreamed of writing a book in my native language—let alone in English—somehow, I found the courage earlier this year, and this book is the result of that commitment. Completing it has brought me immense satisfaction.
