Beschreibung

Shelli didn't set out to write a book. She set out to examine her life.
A longtime wanderer, she has walked an estimated 35,000 miles over the past 15 years-on wilderness trails, during coaching calls, through daily life, and across breathtaking landscapes in the U.S. and abroad.
She lives on the frontier of Wyoming and works from a 100-year-old sheepherder's wagon beside the Popo Agie River. The wilderness has long been her platform and her refuge. It's where she's done her deepest work.
An entrepreneur, coach, keynote presenter, leadership consultant, writer, adventure guide, and founder of Epic Life Inc., Shelli has coached hundreds of individuals and leaders-helping them reflect deeply on their lives and paths. She has also worked with numerous leadership teams and groups, inspiring insight, connection, and transformation.
She's also a wife and a mother-roles that have shaped her as much as any other.
In an age when we spend more time indoors-sedentary, distracted, on our devices for work, and turning to our screens for inspiration-Breathtaking is a call to return to ourselves, and the wilds, for what truly matters.
Drawing from a lifetime of lived experience and nearly 15 years of deep work with others, Shelli offers eight trail-tested lessons. These compass points form the scaffolding of her work at Epic Life Inc.- lessons shaped, tested, and lived by her clients and by herself, again and again.
This isn't a "how-to." It's a "walk-with."
Living your epic life could be a great adventure. It could be breathtaking.
Let this be your field guide.

Portrait

Shelli Johnson is an entrepreneur, coach, keynote presenter, leadership facilitator travel consultant, writer, and adventure guide. She is also the founder of Epic Life Inc., a company dedicated to helping people live their authentic, epic life. Before launching Epic Life Inc., Shelli spent 15 years building and running a Yellowstone-based tourism publishing company (and Webby Award-winning website) that promoted travel to the world's first national park. She often went "into the field" to report on and write stories, and to inspire and help people plan a vacation of a lifetime.Today, she still goes into the field-but with leaders, teams, and individuals navigating the wild terrain of their own lives. Her mission is to help them live the life of their lifetime, and to create more meaning in their life and their work.Over the past 15 years, Shelli has walked thousands of miles-alone, with loved ones, alongside clients, and during coaching calls. The wilderness has been her teacher, mirror, and compass. Walking is how she finds her way home to herself. She lives in Wyoming with her husband. Their three grown sons are forging their own paths. Her office is a 100-year-old sheepherder's wagon parked alongside the Popo Agie River. For more of her writing and to learn about Shelli's work, visit her Substack: Epic Field Notes, or check out her websites: YourEpicLife.com, theShelliJohnson.com, and HaveMediaWillTravel.com.
