Cowboy

Cowboy, an autobiographical novel by Chinese author Zsiying Lam, tells the adventures of a Chinese merchant throughout the second half of the 20th century. Having left China from Hong Kong to pursue studying opportunities and a better life, he ended up migrating to Canada but returning to Southeast Asia to launch various business ventures. His eventful life is a testimony of the constant struggles and unexpected twists and turns faced by Chinese migrants overseas.

Zsiying Lam is a Chinese merchant who has journeyed across the world and who is well read in classic Chinese literature and poetry. He enjoys traveling, writing, and collecting Chinese paintings and calligraphy.
