The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right

The modern world is becoming more and more complex, and there is more and more information in it. In daily work, this leads to the fact that each employee must keep many tasks under control. But human memory is imperfect, so even the highest-class professionals, overworked, make mistakes that turn into catastrophic problems. The author proposes to solve the problem of forgetfulness with the help of an accessible and very effective way - compiling checklists, i.e. checklists of necessary actions, which the whole team should check in the process of work. The scope of checklists is practically unlimited: with their help, American clinics have improved the statistics of patients recovering in hospitals, construction companies have been able to improve the quality of facilities put into operation, and pilots have reduced the number of accidents. Checklists are also becoming an integral part of the business processes of companies around the world.
