Animal Helpers

Animals are even more amazing than most people realise. With their super-senses and special abilities, animals can sniff out disease in humans, dig out those trapped by avalanches and even detect earthquakes before they strike. It hard to imagine where humans would be without animals to help us.
The simple text explains how and why animals help us and have a positive impact on our lives, often alongside the people who help us, too. From guide dogs and sheep dogs to therapy pets and police horses, readers will learn about the many ways people rely on animals to stay safe, have fun and help us get around.
The book will show readers age 7+ the importance of animal welfare. Readers will find out how owners and handlers care for the safety and wellbeing of our Animal Helpers. We'll show how animals can help us physically but are also beneficial for our mental health. We'll also show how we can support animals in return.

Ben Hubbard (Author)
Ben Hubbard began his writing career at a what's-on newspaper in the 1990s, interviewing bands, actors and artists in his native Wellington, New Zealand. He later joined the fast-paced world of daily newspaper journalism before packing up shop and moving to England. Here, Ben tied a number of new strings to his bow: magazine editor, book editor, and finally, author. Today, Ben writes a mix of non-fiction for all ages - preschoolers through to adults. He has penned titles on an eclectic subject range: from space exploration, samurai warriors and medieval castles; to pop music, pets, tornadoes and rugby skills.
Sara Ugolotti (Illustrator)
Sara was born and raised in Italy. After obtaining a bachelor degree in Architecture she took a degree in Illustration at the International School of Comics in Reggio Emilia. She then specialized in children's books illustration and she works now as a freelance illustrator for clients worldwide. She loves art, nature and animals, especially dogs. She lives in Italy with her boyfriend and their frenchie Murphy.
