Hence, the research would help the policymakers of banks and the Government to comprehend the profitability and growth of public and private sector banks and the impact of NPAs on banks' financial performance.

Mr. Biplab Kumar Dey is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Science Technology Meghalaya, India.  Prof. M.K. Shome obtained PhD from Delhi University. Presently, serving as Professor in the Department of Management and Humanities at the NIT, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
