The Cabin Elves of Idyllwild is an poetic imaginary story about elves whose sole purpose is to help newcomers in the beautiful mountain setting of Idyllwild.
Imagine buying your dream cabin in the mountains and finding out that elves live there with you! Magical little doors appear one day inside and outside your cabin, but you can't open them! Then notes from the elves begin appearing on the those doors! They let the owners know they are there to help them in every way, but they will never be seen. Look carefully and you may spot them hiding out on various pages.
One day the owners learn they must lose some of their trees. What happens next shows how far the cabin elves will go to help their new owners. The Cabin Elves of Idyllwild is brought beautifully to life in magnificent water color illustrations by artist Amy Koch Johnson. Each illustration is truly a work of art, filled with colorful, natural and fanciful detail sure to appeal to any child. There's even an "I Spy" activity section at the end of the story to enjoy searching for the many artistic elements in the book. This is Bob's first book of any kind. He is a retired educator living in Idyllwild. He wrote this book as a gift to his grandchildren. He enjoys living and playing in Idyllwild.
