Cultural Rights and Wrongs in Transitional Justice

The book offers the first comprehensive analysis of culture and cultural rights within transitional justice. It examines the historical marginalization of cultural rights, challenging ideas of transitions, justice, and violence while advocating for integrating cultural rights into transitional justice.

Colin Luoma is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Brunel University of London. His research broadly lies in the areas of transitional justice, cultural rights, and Indigenous Peoples' rights. He has authored peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and reports on issues relating to his research interests. Colin has also worked on human rights issues as a researcher for Minority Rights Group International and in consultations with the UN Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights. He earned his PhD in Law from Brunel University of London in 2021 and his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2012.
