This is a book of short poetic children's stories written to appeal primarily to children aged 3 to 9 years, and to their parents! There are twelve stories of varying lengths [between approx. 225 and 800 words] and styles, with a total word count of approx. 5265.
The stories included are:
1. The Hairy Spider and the Careless Wasp: a hotshot wasp comes a cropper.
2. Fibbing Fudge: a young cat who tells tall tales gets caught out.
3. Teegan Gets Toothache: the friendly town dragon needs a dentist.
4. Ninny Goat: a ballad about a happy-go-lucky goat.
5. Wizzie Witchly and the impertinent pie: Wizzie the wacky witch has fun with a pie.
6. Teddy Bear Slippers: a verse about a little boy and his slippers.
7. My Dad is an Alien: a yarn concerning a little girls daft dad.
8. Helixior - City of the Snails: a classical tale of the snail variety.
9. Dinosaurus Rex: Rex the dinosaur enters the Dinolympics.
10.Penguin in the Sandpit: the story of a little girl and an errant penguin.
11.Frogs Legs and Toadstools: some nasty trolls are outwitted by a dashing frog.
12.Gnomecastle-under-Lime: the battle for a recipe between gnomes and goblins.
This book is beautifully illustrated by Zoe Cheale.
