Elizabeth A. Dreyer, Ph.D., is a professor emerita of religious studies at Fairfield University. An expert in medieval women mystics, the history of Christian spirituality, and the role of women in Christianity, she received her Ph.D. from Marquette University. She is the author or co-author of ten books, including Making Sense of God: A Woman's Perspective, which won first place in the Catholic Press Association's Gender Issues category.
