Portrait

Hiroyuki Yamauchi received his Ph.D. degree in engineering from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1997. In 1985, he joined the Semiconductor Research Center, Panasonic, Japan. From 1985 to 1987, he worked on the scaled sense amplifier for ultrahigh-density DRAM’s. From 1988 to 1994, he was engaged in the research and development of 16-Mb CMOS DRAMs, including the battery-operated high-speed 16-Mb CMOS DRAM and the ultralow-power, three times longer, self-refresh DRAM. He also invented the charge-recycling bus architecture and low-voltage operated high-speed VLSIs, including 0.5-V/100-MHz-operated SRAM and Gate-Over-Driving CMOS architecture. After the development of various embedded memories, eSRAM, eDRAM, eFlash, eFeRAM, and eReRAM for system LSI in Panasonic as General Manager, he moved to the Fukuoka Institute of Technology, where he has been a Professor since 2005. His current interests are focused on convolution/deconvolution algorithms for machine-learning-based low-power signal and image processing for the IoT sensor applications.
Keping Wang (Senior Member, IEEE) received his B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2003, M.S. degree in information science and electronic engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2006, and a Ph.D. degree in information science and engineering from Southeast University in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he was Research Fellow with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Research Associate with the Wireless Sensing Laboratory, University of Washington, Seattle, from 2012 to 2016. From January 2017 to September 2019, he was Associate Professor with Southeast University. He has been promoted as Full Professor at Tianjin University, China, since December 2019. He has authored or coauthored over 80 international journals and conference papers, ten patents, and one book chapter. His research interests include future RF and mm-wave circuits, body-area-networks, automotive and home monitoring, and implantable devices demand wireless technology well beyond the state-of- the-art.
Iickho Song (Fellow, IEEE) received his B.S.E. (magna cum laude) and M.S.E. degrees in electronics engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and a M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He was Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Communications Research, Morristown, NJ, USA, in 1987. In 1988, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul, where he is currently a Professor. He has coauthored several books, including Advanced Theory of Signal Detection (Springer, 2002), Random Variables and Stochastic Processes (2014), Probability and Random Variables: Theory and Applications (Springer, 2022), and Fundamentals of Order and Rank Statistics (Springer, 2024) and has published papers on signal detection and mobile communications.
