Play Along Percussion Team SAFARI helps beginners from children of 6 years up to adults learn to make music in a team with a variety of percussion instruments. It's super that the 22 songs are of different levels for all instrument groups! 6 songs are in 3/4 time with cool new grooves. So all students can practise playing in a band at a very early stage.
Elisabeth Amandi has to each melody composed a new rhythm for the drumset, drums and small percussion.
The basic rhythms of the drums or small percussion are ideal for beginners. The rhythmic language developed by Elisabeth Amandi - with syllables created by her - optimally supports the understanding of the rhythmic correlations by the drum and percussion parts.
Mallet players also start with the easier melodies. They can also learn the rhythmparts on drums and small percussion, which will make them more rhythmically stabile. The melodies can also be sung by a choir (lyric in the book) or played on other melodyinstruments and rhythmically be accompanied by a drumset, drums or small percussion. All songs can be played with the mp3 audio file alone or in a group and also at a concert or competition in a percussion team.

Elisabeth Amandi studied timpani/percussion and rock/jazz drumset as one of the first women at the Würzburg University of Music with Prof Siegfried Fink. She played in rock, dance and jazz bands for many years. At the same time, she made a name for
herself as the first German marimba soloist and a drum teacher in Munich at music schools. She still runs her percussion school Munich Pasing at the Amandi Foundation. Numerous students have won prizes at 'Jugend musiziert'. As author of teaching books, playing books and compositions for marimba, drumset and percussion, she has made a name for herself as a great pioneer in the world of percussion.
