He wrote dozens of novels, plays, short stories and essays inspired by his naval experiences. Originally published in 1835 and then re released in 1896, The Pacha of Many Tales is an imitation of Arabian Nights and follows a Turkish Pacha who collects outrageous and romantic tales.
