Das Thema 'Glück' gehört nicht zu den zentralen Themen evangelischer Ethik, dafür aber zu den bevorzugten Themen des Leipziger Systematischen Theologen Rochus Leonhardt. Leonhardt, dem diese Festschrift gewidmet ist, hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, eine evangelische Position zum Thema 'Glück' zu erarbeiten und im Gespräch mit Klassikern wie Aristoteles, Thomas von Aquin, Luther und Kant zu profilieren.

'Happiness' is not one of the central themes of Protestant ethics, but it is one of the favorite topics of the Leipzig systematic theologian Rochus Leonhardt. Leonhardt, to whom this publication is dedicated, has set himself the task of developing a Protestant position on the subject of 'happiness' and profiling it in discussion with classics such as Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, Luther and Kant.
