He is co-editor of Flashpoints in Environmental Policymaking (1997), which won the 1998 Lynton Caldwell Book Award, given by the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy section of the American Political Science Association. Professor Gonzalez's work in the field of Star Trek Studies has been published in Foundation: The International Review of Science Fiction.
