The parish of Lynnhaven encompasses the whole of the county of Princess Anne. Princess Anne county was created from the eastern third of Lower Norfolk County in 1691, These boundaries ran from the lower reaches of the Chesapeake Bay going South to the North Carolina State line along the Atlantic Ocean.
