Within Reno and beyond in Sparks, the North Valleys, Galena, and the Washoe Valley, you can bird-watch while strolling the wetlands along the Truckee River, visit an arboretum in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, enjoy a long walk on the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail, soak in views of the surrounding mountain ranges from Sugarloaf Peak, or escape to the wilds of Hidden Valley Regional Park where you may spot wild horses roaming the sagebrush.
