Voyages of Folley, Part I The Sea Reaper

Captain Greyhound is a Rising Star among the Brotherhood of the Coast, Dreaded as 'The Red Gentleman' to the Spanish Empire. He is contracted by the Governor of Tortuga to track down and destroy a French Man of War, belonging to a rival French Nobleman, an Act of Treason for the Governor, and a Death Sentence for Privateer. Greyhound deals, and bargains to prepare for his voyage, as His Ambitions prove too much, and he decides that instead of destroying the great ship, he will take her. Le Leviathan Royale, a French prototype flagship is his target. She has enough cannons to stand in the Line of Battle against the mightiest flagships of Europe and a single broadside would annihilate Greyhound's own galleon. Greyhound deceives his cutthroat crew, pays for weapons for the venture with credit from an as of yet unachieved victory, and is haunted by premonitions and nightmares as he pursues the great ship.
Nearly losing his life, several times over, and the distractions that come with rich prizes are not enough to stop or deter him. Command of Le Leviathan Royale will make Greyhound King of the Sea, free from the rule of Europe and free to conquer the seas as he sees fit. The massive Third Rate Ship of the Line, with over seventy guns will enable the ambitious rogue to rule the Caribbean, and he devises a cunning plan to take her and make her his, a plan that if successful, won't see him firing a single shot. The colorful cast of rogues include the learned gunner, Perrie Noir, A racist and double-talking Scottish Ship's officer, the Ship's Cabin Boy, a host of Romanian Travelers who have settled on Tortuga, as well as Greyhound's favorite strumpet Cassie Blue and his One True Love, the Fiery Captain Arabella Crackstone.

My Real name is Ian Murphy, though I prefer the old Gealic spelling. I've always loved Pirates, and probably was one in a past life. My Favorite Historical Pirates are Laurens de Graaf, Black Bart Roberts, and Black Sam Bellamy. I live alone on a boat, and my hobbies are building Legos, gaming, art, and theater. When not writing about Greyhound, I am portraying him at local renaissance festivals, and pirate Festivals. My home Faire is the Great Lakes Medieval Faire, and I have also been a part of the Put in Bay Pirate Festival for several years, performed at other local Renaissance Faires in the North West. Two of my three life ambitions of being published, and living on a boat are now achieved. I am grateful to God for keeping me alive and helping press me towards these goals, one gale at a time. I hope one day to meet the goofy Gamer girl of my dreams where she can join me on my boat, where we'll spoil each other rotten. Right now, I am sadly single, and my life revolves around my hobbies. I recently rediscovered my lost passion for them. I am at the point in my life, where life is simply too short, and judgmental people's opinions of me too irrelevant to not wear my bucket boots and frock coat when shopping for groceries or running errands.
