The Lone Sonneteer

If The Lone Sonneteer is aimed at a particular reader, who is that reader? The sonnet itself narrows the field. Throw politics in the mix, and not just politics, but a specific election at a specific time in our history and the odds are good it won't be a best seller.
I've not tried to hide where I stand in a rancorous, pivotal contest; if a condition whether or not to proceed, the reader can glean where I stand by skimming over the sonnet titles. Dive in, if you will; nothing could make me happier. Or opt out; I respect your choice...and no hard feelings.

James A. Baumgard was born and raised in Chicago, IL. From the monotonous mid-west, he moved to mountainous Boulder, CO., where he spent a winter making and selling sheepskin coats. In pursuit of more adventure, came spring, he headed further west, to San Francisco, alas, too late to enjoy the "summer of love." Still, he loved the City by the Bay well enough to sojourn there for eighteen years; during which he wrote computer programs to support his photography business.
When family beckoned, he upped stakes and southward moved to Corona, CA., where he currently lives, writes, and line dances.
