The Summer Storm

One day, a storm begins to brew, scaring Little Dog and Miss Kitty. It is up to Grandma and Grandpa to protect them and enlighten them about why thunderstorms should not be scary.
This charming tale follows Little Dog and Miss Kitty as Grandma and Grandpa comfort them as much as possible, even as the summer storm becomes more intense. They learn how to prepare and stay safe during thunderstorms and tornadoes. Distracting them while also teaching them about storms allows Grandma and Grandpa to help them cope with the thunderous situation.

I would try to give her mother a much-needed break, so on the many trips to the hospital, I would tell her stories. They were more to calm me and entertain me while we rocked or napped as she went through the lengthy process of dialysis. So far, I have put two stories on paper: The Summer Storm and Finding Christmas.
