Johannes Kührt studierte Jura und Wirtschaftsrecht an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Er absolvierte ein Auslandssemester an der Southwest-University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing/China. Während der Promotion arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Bürgerliches Recht, Zivilprozess- und Insolvenzrecht an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg von Prof. Dr. Stephan Madaus, von dem die Arbeit auch betreut wurde. Er absolvierte einen LL.M. in European and International Business Law am Trinity College Dublin/Irland. Derzeit ist er Rechtsreferendar am Landgericht Wiesbaden.
