Dictionary for End of Life Care: The language of medicine and medications made simple

This dictionary contains basic medical and pharmaceutical terms in common use in end of life care settings such as hospice, palliative care, community care and aged care. The range of entries has been limited to terms and definitions that are particularly useful for non-medical staff, allied health professionals, carers, and volunteers.

Dr John Ashfield has spent many years as a psychotherapist working in hospice and palliative care, and was a pioneer in developing post-graduate counselling education in palliative care and grief studies at the University of Adelaide, Department of General Practice, Faculty of Medicine.
