He was twice appointed to the US Commission for International Religious Freedom, and in 2020 was named one of America's 10 most influential religious leaders.

Jerry Pattengale is inaugural University Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University and holds distinguished posts at Sagamore Institute, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Waverley Abbey College (UK), Excelsia College (AU), and Tyndale House-Cambridge (UK). He was a founding scholar of Museum of the Bible (DC).
