The Lords of Khaos and Ironwood Heights had always been Tex's home. With a grandfather who was a founding member, and a father who had taken up the mantle as soon as he was old enough to ride, Tex was more than just a legacy. He was secure in his place in the world. And more than that, he was confident in the fact that a mate and cubs were not in the cards for him. Which was what made him the perfect man to run the Lords main strip club, the Bear Den. But with new laws keeping humans from working for Shifter run businesses, Tex was in a bit of a talent shortage. But when Lux walks through the front doors of his club, everything changes for him, in every way possible.
Lux had never belonged. Raised to follow orders and never to ask questions, suddenly that was all she could do. The Council went dark the day that shifters were discovered by the world, and now Lux has no heading, and no pack to keep her animal from going crazy. On top of that, she's been dreaming about a towheaded boy, with sparkling green eyes, who calls to her inner fox something fierce. With nothing but a tenuous idea of where she might go next, Lux finds herself on the doorstep to the only contact that is still answering her calls. Walking through the doors to the log cabin that holds the Bear Den, she smells something that makes all those tentative memories come flooding back. And into the arms of the towheaded boy with bright green eyes, who has become the finest specimen of a man.
With all the laws restricting Shifters, magic and witchcraft being dragged into the public forum, Tex and Lux have an uphill battle to fight. Can they find enough sanctuary to let their bond take form? Or are they destined to both live half lives alone? What's in store for shifters and magic in a world that is bound and determined to keep them down?
Lords of Khaos: Brave New World is part of the greater Lords of Khaos Universe and directly follows the Lords of Khaos: Ironwood series. While each book has a complete romantic story, it is recommended that you read the books in order for the overarching background storyline. As with all of the Lords books, this one contains violence, adult content, and prolific use of my favorite word.
