The third annual Kapiti Coast District Libraries poetry contest – If You're a Poet We Want to Know It – is aimed this year to encourage and celebrate humorous poetry in its many forms: all the way from witty, sardonic, amusing, dry, and charming, to laugh out loud, belly laughing, foot-stamping funny.
We hope in this volume you'll find something to tickle your funny bone or cause you to smile. The library received in total 35 poems, in each of three age groups:
Children – age 6-12
Teens – age 13-18
Adults – age 19 and older
Again this year, we're providing the book in print and as an eBook thanks to our digital services team. Thanks are due also to the library's community services team who coordinated the contest and open mic reading, as well as to our judges this year, members of the Friends of the Kapiti Libraries.
