Wisdom for the Soul of Black Folk

An anthology of quotations by Black authors from Africa and the diaspora, organized in over 200 subject categories and in chronological order from Khemetic times to the present. The selections focus on increasing awareness, empowerment and motivation. Sources include Ptahotep, Tertullian, Ignatius Sancho, Zora Neale Hurston, Wole Soyinka, Herbie Hancock, Iyanla Vanzant, Malcolm Gladwell and reggae philosopher Bob Marley.

Years of study in Religious Science and the dharma have given Larry Chang a thorough grounding in metaphysics and spirituality. In the course of his work as an intuitive counselor and speaker, he collected and used many illuminating quotations which he shares in Wisdom for the Soul: Five Millennia of Prescriptions for Spiritual Healing, and Wisdom for the Soul of Black Folk. Larry has been, in turn and simultaneously, an artist, designer, editor, activist, trader, consultant and restauranteur - and now publisher. He has written essays, poetry, blogs and hosts a website promoting the Jamaican language. His book on Patwa, "Biesik Jumiekan: Introduction to Jamaican Language" was released in May 2014.
