Twisting, Gritty Crime Novel "The Billionaire Butcher"; Atlantic City Noir
Max Hardin, ex-cop and fledgling private eye, has just relocated to the gritty streets of Atlantic City, where dreams go to die, and desperation thrives. Struggling to make a name for himself, his luck seems to turn when he's hired by the owner of a local supermarket humiliated by a brazen robbery. With the police dragging their feet, Hardin jumps at the chance to prove his worth.
But this isn't an ordinary thief. Hardin's investigation leads him to John Weller, a man crushed by life's cruel blows-a child lost to the ocean, a wife consumed by blame and grief, and the death of his best friend. For years, Weller's only solace has been the money he's embezzled to support Brenda McConagle, his enigmatic, pay-for-play girlfriend, and he's been found out.
Now, Weller has snapped. Disillusioned and desperate, he abandons the hope of redemption and sets his sights on infamy. His chilling plan? To rid the world of its most ruthless sociopaths-its despicable billionaires-one by one. As Hardin closes in, he finds himself drawn into Brenda's tangled web of secrets and seduction. Their dangerous connection pulls him deeper into Weller's twisted psyche, forcing Hardin to confront not only the Billionaire Butcher he's hunting but his own moral limits.
In a pulse-pounding finale, Hardin and Brenda come face-to-face with Weller in a confrontation where loyalty, betrayal, and justice collide. Can Hardin stop a man with nothing left to lose, or will Weller's quest for infamy leave an indelible mark on them all?
The Billionaire Butcher is a noir thriller that explores the thin line between justice and vengeance, and the choices that define who we are in the face of unimaginable loss.
