Beschreibung

A collection of love stories with all their different characters, backgrounds, and can be difficult to describe in a few words, but what makes P.J. Braley's collection different is that the reader knows these love stories are impossible from the beginning. Can an impossible love ever be enough?Star-crossed or fated?- A selfish and ambitious man, allowing himself to fall in love for a single day, alters the rest of his existence.- A woman seeking knowledge in a foreign land returns home with more memories than she ever thought possible.- Attempting to satisfy her curiosity, a woman stumbles into a place where love is rare, and happily-ever-afters are forbidden, yet cannot find it in her heart to leave the man she finds there.- An enduring affair has become so dangerous that a woman must destroy her desire to protect herself and everyone she loves.P.J. Braley weaves the answers to these questions and scenarios into a collection of four unforgettable love stories that might seem impossible, but, perhaps, after touching the hearts and minds of hopeful romantics, they may be "possible" after all.

Portrait

After spending two decades copy editing other writers' manuscripts, P.J. Braley embarked on her own writing path. Her debut novel, The Fire Slayers, introduced the reading community to an alien species living beneath the Earth's surface who are determined to save the world from human destruction. Finding Persephone tells the story of an alien assassin who makes the unforgivable mistake of falling in love with a human. In her third novel, Persephone's Children, P.J. creates a love story so complete that it transcends the boundaries of life-and death. When she isn't writing about aliens negotiating the labyrinth of human love while trying to save the planet, researching her next work of historical fiction, or discovering the "possible" in impossible love stories, you will find her sitting under the umbrella on the sundeck with her rescue Aussies, Nymeria and Kaela.
