»The Non-Continuation of Fixed-Term Employment Relationships. On the Employer's Freedom and Commitment in the Contractually Predefined Space«: The thesis examines how freely employers may decide on the continuation of effectively fixed-term employment relationships after their expiration. For this purpose, various cases of self-binding of employers are examined, including the general principle of equal treatment and the culpa in contrahendo. The thesis focuses on how various discrimination laws affect the continuation of the contract after its expiration and on the legal consequences resulting from their violation.

Paulina Holle studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Bucerius Law School in Hamburg und an der University of Cambridge. Im Anschluss an das Erste Staatsexamen arbeitete sie am Lehrstuhl für Bürgerliches Recht, Arbeitsrecht und Zivilprozessrecht von Prof. Dr. Matthias Jacobs an der Bucerius Law School. Sie wurde im April 2022 promoviert. Ihr Referendariat absolvierte Paulina Holle am Kammergericht Berlin mit Stationen u.a. beim Bundeskanzleramt (Referat für Arbeitsmarktpolitik) und einer auf das Arbeitsrecht spezialisierten Kanzlei.
