This book gathers the proceedings of the 10th International Conference and Exhibition on Sustainable Energy and Advanced Materials (ICE-SEAM 2024), held on September 19–20, 2024, in Surakarta, Indonesia. It focuses on a diverse range of subtopics: Sustainable and renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy engineering and management;- advanced and eco-friendly materials and processes;- environmentally friendly mechanical system design; and- sustainable and eco-friendly vehicle science and technology. The content caters to academicians, researchers, students, and practitioners working in the field of sustainable energy systems and advanced materials.

Dr. Wahyu Purwo Raharjo, S.T., M.T. has completed his bachelor and master’s education at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and his doctoral program at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia. His doctoral thesis is entitled “Characterization of LDPE-matriced Composites Reinforced by Fibers from Zalacca (Zalacca Edulis) Midribs.” Currently, he serves as an associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. Besides his position as a lecturer, he is a member of the Non-metallic Materials Engineering and Processing Research Group in Universitas Sebelas Maret. He has some research interests in engineering materials, especially ceramics and composites. His current research is to study the effect of weather exposure on the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of natural fiber-polymer composites being performed by accelerated and natural weathering.
