Sanjay Yadav earned his M.Sc. in 1985 and his Ph.D. in Physics in 1990. He is the editor-in-chief of *MAPAN: The Journal of the Metrology Society of India* and serves as vice president of both the Metrology Society of India and the Ultrasonic Society of India. Previously, he was a chief scientist at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and a professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research. Since 2011, he has taught courses on Advanced Measurement Techniques and supervised graduate students. Dr. Yadav has published over 450 research papers, authored 20 books, and 14 patents. His research focuses on pressure metrology, biomedical instrumentation, and quality systems in laboratories.
Vinay Kumar has been an assistant professor in the Department of General Studies at Jubail Industrial College, Saudi Arabia, since 2014. He directed the Physics Course for five years and has been a member of the department council for eight years. Dr. Kumar holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Physics. He began his career as a lecturer in India and later received a fellowship from the National Physical Laboratory. He has published eight research papers and contributed book chapters, holding three international and two Indian patents. He has also served in various academic roles and is a life member of the Indian Physical Society and the Swadeshi Science Movement.
Chun-Yi Su received his B.E. in Control Engineering in 1982 and his M.S. and Ph.D. from South China University of Technology in 1987 and 1990, respectively. He worked at the University of Victoria in Canada before joining Concordia University, where he is now a Concordia Research Chair in Control and professor of Mechanical Engineering. His research includes control techniques for mechatronic systems and nonlinear control systems. He has authored over 180 publications in journals, book chapters, and conferences.
Dr. Vikas Narayan Thakur is currently working as Assistant Professor at Rajdhani College, University of Delhi. With a Ph.D. in Physics from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Delhi, and Bachelor's and Master's degrees from University of Delhi, he has cultivated a remarkable academic and research career. His research focused on pioneering advancements in ferroelectric and piezoelectric for sensors, engineering and other scientific applications. Such works have positioned him at the forefront of metrology, engineering and physics. Dr. Thakur's research journey took him to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and his global research footprint expanded with a postdoctoral position at Dongguk University, South Korea.
Gheorghe-Daniel Andreescu obtained his M.S. degree in applied electronics and his Ph.D. degree in automatic control systems from Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania, in 1977 and 1999, respectively. Since 1984, he has been affiliated with the Automation and Applied Informatics Department at Politehnica University Timisoara, where he currently holds the position of full professor. He has authored or co-authored over 80 articles in international journals and conference proceedings. His primary research interests include advanced control of AC drives, sensorless control, observers, sliding-mode control, power electronics control, mechatronic systems, and real-time implementations. Dr. Andreescu is a member of the Technical Committee TC4.2 Mechatronics Systems of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and has also served on the Engineering Sciences Commission of the National University Research Council.
