Portrait

Milankumar Rana has worked in cloud computing, software engineering, and data analytics for more than 13 years. He is a distinguished Software Engineer Advisor and Senior Cloud Engineer at FedEx. Starting at Neox Solutions Pvt LTD. in India, he created a Java-based network automation application that set the foundation for his knowledge of scalable cloud architectures. At FedEx, Rana has developed a hybrid edge-cloud artificial intelligence system combining federated learning with reinforcement learning to improve demand forecasting accuracy and cloud cost savings. Rana’s main area of research interest is advancing cloud-native application development, artificial intelligence-driven data processing, and scalable, hybrid cloud systems. His future work aims to incorporate AIOps for automated infrastructure management, Quantum Ops for high-speed data processing, MLOps for enhanced model accuracy, and DevSecOps for robust security frameworks. Rana’s work in cloud computing and data engineering and commitment to driving technological advancements in logistics and beyond demonstrate his ability to translating research into practical impact.
