A young boy hovers near death in a hospital room, his overly doting mother at his side and a calming voice that he hears in the mist of his unconscious mind. He recovers and is visited by the mystery woman. The boy goes through some major life changes including being allowed to go to school like regular kids and getting in his first fight.
