This book, the first of two volumes, challenges decades of superficial and selective rhetoric about Titös Yugoslavia. The essays explore some of the gaps in the existing descriptions of the country that have existed for decades. Contributors cover a range of topics including the abolition of the multi-party system, nonalignment, and the 1968 reinforcing position among others.

Jasna Jozeli- is Dr.philos. Candidate and advisor at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, University in Oslo, Norway. She is author of Islamisation and Islam's Position in Today's Bosnia and Herzegovina (2006) and she is contributor and co-editor with Gorana Ognjenovi- of Politicization of Religion, The Power of Symbolism (2014) and Politicization of Religion, The Power of State, Nation, Faith (2014).
