Beschreibung

From award-winning comedian and bestselling author Russell Kane comes a hilarious and heartwarming picture book about dogs, cats and tricky family dynamics...
Russell Kane’s cute and quirky furbabies take centre stage in a story about the not-quite-seamless introduction of Brian (an adorable new chihuahua puppy) to Terry (the family's loyal and loving Burmese cat).
Terry is loving life as the pampered emperor of his home. Sure he's needy, but his family love him and he loves them. Until one day, everything changes. When Dad brings home Brian the excitable chihuahua, no one can resist his laser love heart eyes. Except Terry. Terry is FURIOUS! As his tantrums become more and more dramatic, the family wonder if Brian and Terry will ever learn to get along.
Russell's laugh-out-loud writing is brought to life with brilliantly silly and characterful illustrations by Erica Salcedo.
When Brian Met Terry is perfect for any animal lover, but can also be read as a metaphor for sibling rivalry and the ups and downs of introducing a new baby to the family. At its heart, this funny and heartwarming picture book is about learning to get on with creatures whom you might dislike – or who dislike you. That and a very, VERY dramatic cat.

Portrait

Russell Kane is a British comedian, writer, actor and presenter. He has two chart-topping, award-bagging podcasts: Man Baggage and BBC Radio 4’s Evil Genuis. He is a regular on Channel 4, BBC, and ITV: all the usual shows you see funny people on. He drinks lots of coffee and is ‘like that in real life’. He was the first ever comedian to bag the two most prestigious comedy awards on earth in the same year, for the same show: Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier), and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award, (formerly known as the Barry Award). But most of all, Russell LOVES his pets. He has three cats: Terry the Burmese, Donna the Devon Rex and Bobbins the Ragdoll. He also has an elderly blind pug called Colin.
