Geopolitics of the Knowledge-Based Economy

We live in the era of the knowledge-based economy, and this has major implications for the ways in which states, cities and even supranational political units are spatially planned, governed and developed. Sami Moisio is Professor of Spatial Planning and Policy in the Department of Geosciences and Geography at the University of Helsinki, Finland. His research interests include political geographies of Europeanization, state spatial transformation and urban political geographies.
