The work focuses on the history of the hostels in the Kempten Princely Abbey, but it has also the character of a contribution to European legal history. The focus of the legal dogmatic treatment is the Bavarian hostel law. With the detailed treatment of federal law with regard to condominium ownership, the work also prepares the applicable law in Germany in a generally manner.
