One year after the tragic loss of one of her sons, Lynn Madison, along with her husband and youngest son, Thomas, move to the remote town of Walton for a fresh start.
Walton has everything: a beautiful lake, access to the mountains, and green woodland that stretches for miles. A woodland, Lynn learns, that has been known to swallow children, and it has its sights set on Thomas. And even with the voices of the dead urging Lynn away, it may already be too late.
