Beschreibung

Embers of the heart is a poignant tale of all-consuming love, longing, and self-discovery. The narrator's heart beats solely for Bokang B Phetla, but his efforts to prove worthiness end in hearbreaking despair.
Desperate to capture her attention, the narrator pours emotions into poetry, music, art, only to realize that his search for solace leads him to seek echoes of Bokang in others. Willing to surrender everything, he enslave himself to hope of tasting her love.
Cruel reality crushes hopes, forcing acceptance that his love will forever remain unreciprocated. Despite this, the narrator's heart refuses to let go, acknowledging an eternal love.
In a final act of self-liberation, he choose's to release the unattainable, embracing the bittersweet truth: though Bokang many never be his, his love will endure.

Portrait

T. Charles Rampedi, affectionately known as "a silent scribbler," is a South African poet, storyteller, and visionary with a passion for turning pain into poetry. Through raw honesty and tender vulnerability, he crafts emotional landscapes that mirror the hearts of many, yet speak with the voice of one.
Born with a mind that questions everything and a heart that feels too deeply, Rampedi's writing is a quiet rebellion against a world that too often silences soft voices. He began writing as a form of self-conversation, a survival tool when no one was listening-and from those whispers, entire books were born.
In works like Uncapped Feelings, Ember of the Heart, A Collection of Broken Things, and now Voyage of Dreams, he explores love, rejection, healing, and the silent ache of wanting to be understood. Often regarded as "delusional" by those around him for dreaming beyond his environment, Rampedi continues to write, not to be successful-but to be remembered.
His words are not just ink on paper. They are echoes from the chambers of a soul still learning how to live, love, and belong.
