With a recent string of burglaries in the area, Rick, an experienced police detective, ventures inside the dark and quiet home to make sure everything is okay. Mary, meanwhile, remains in their pickup truck parked in the driveway, and both husband and wife begin a slow, methodical, and suspenseful surveyal of their surroundings, looking for any clue, anything out of place that would signal an uninvited guest may be waiting for them inside. It's during times like these, however, where the mind can play the most tricks, highlighting potential evidence of foul play that turns out to be perfectly innocuous...
