the soldier calmly regarded the youth

"I've had my wishes," he said, quietly
"Dileklerimi yerine getirdim," dedi sessizce
and his blotchy face turned a grave white

"I had my wishes granted," confirmed the sergeant-major

"And has anybody else wished?" asked the old lady
"Peki dileyen var m-?" diye sordu yäl- kad-n
"The first man had his three wishes," was the reply
"-lk adam-n üç dile-i vard-" diye cevap verdi
"I don't know what the first two wishes were"
"-lk iki dile-in ne oldu-unu bilmiyorum"
"but the third wish was for death"
"Ama üçüncü dilek ölümdü"
"That's how I got the monkey's paw"
"Maymunun pençesini böyle ald-m"
His tones had gotten very grave
Ses tonu çok ciddile-mi-ti
a dark hush fell upon the group
