Demostene

This book presents three speeches by the ancient Greek orator Demosthenes, which he delivered in the 4th century BCE to denounce Philip II of Macedon and his expansionist policies in Greece. Known as the Philippics, these speeches are a masterpiece of rhetorical and political propaganda, and serve as a model for many later speeches in Western history. They also reveal Demosthenes' patriotic fervor, his defense of Athenian democracy, and his admiration for the classical ideals of freedom and justice.
