Seven Days to Live

In the heart of a frozen frontier, a deadly and invisible enemy threatens the lives of children. Diphtheria, a potentially fatal toxin, has reared its ugly head. Isolated by ice and in the middle of the worst winter in 20 years, the town of Nome is at risk of being devastated by this enemy. With ships and airplanes unable to provide relief, it's up to 20 brave men and 150 dogs to bring salvation. This is their story.

Since settling in the US after leaving his native Venezuela in 1998, Eudo A. Atencio has been an avid traveler and has been particularly drawn to Alaska, its vastness, and ruggedness. He is an avid reader, particularly of History. A private pilot, he lived in Utah for many years, managing a paralegal services company and working as a Safety Adviser in the oil field. Currently, he is living in Southern California with his wife, a scientist. This is his first novel.
