The FBI failed to comply with the Attorney General Guidelines
Read the Office of the Inspector General's report on the FBI's deficiencies in its handling of classified human sources. This Inspector General identified multiple areas that the Federal Bureau of Investigation failed to properly vet confidential secret sources used for investigation. The Inspector discovered that FBI analysts were pressured into not identifying red flags about these sources, possibly tainting the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign. This information was used to secure warrants for monitoring Trump campaign officials.
This report is lightly redacted. There are clear notes for the few sections that have been withheld for purposes of security.
