Family Forever: Our Nine-Year Adoption Journey is the true story of love, commitment, sacrifice and perseverance. During a 2002 Christmas vacation to the Philippines, what was supposed to be a "trip of a lifetime" became a trip that would change their lives forever. During their vacation, author Paul Lindquist and his wife Angelina committed to adopting their first (and only) child Sarah. But what they thought would be a "routine" international adoption turned into nearly a decade-long struggle to save their family. They had no idea what it would cost them to keep their commitment to adopt, and they leaned heavily on God's strength through many dark and difficult days.
