LINE - explores the different ways in which line can be used to describe the shapes found in landscape TONE - looks at how to use broader painting and drawing tools to mass in areas of light and dark to capture mood and atmosphere PERSPECTIVE - explains how the landscape can be described in terms of space COLOUR - unpicks different approaches to rendering the landscape, as well as the use of colour harmonies to produce more imaginative landscape images COMPOSITION - introduces the rules that can be used to make more compelling images, and suggests when they can be broken
