Cultural duality - fatalism and rationalism in the Iraqi personality - a sociological study

In a rampant, globalized era that suggests dangers, is seething with challenges, and is characterized by the acceleration of moments, the socio-cognitive and ideological reality in our Iraqi society presents a system of complex dialectics, processes, compositions, and dualities with all these social facts and their problematic dimensions, leading the basic Iraqi personality to its traditional structure with its conflictual, conflictual nature between the values --of fatalism and its past indicators, submission to the authority of the unseen, and the adoption of expressive rituals and superstitious beliefs in traditional, arbitrary thinking, practice, and behavior on the one hand, and the values --of rationalism and its instrumental, logical, planning, and organizational indicators, controlling the present, predicting the future, and affirming the will and existence of Iraqi humanity on the other hand. A complex and intricate picture intersects in which various issues of the sociological reality of daily life and its ongoing challenges intersect, requiring keeping pace and sustainability for this dialectical personality that suffers from a structural value overlap between the authority of its fatalism, governed by the sediments of traditionalism and the dominance of sacred beliefs, and its will, which aspires to love life and renew it. The study of the Iraqi personality is an important introduction to understanding the history of the Iraqi person, his cultural and social structure, and an indicator of his future expectations. Moreover, it is a systematic and scientific planning basis for his life in all its official and unofficial organizational aspects, and his general and specific strategies in leadership and management to move from the concept of the individual to the concept of personality as a choice and action.
