Additionally, the book explores the utilization of emerging polymer materials in biosensor development, covering various classes such as biopolymers, functional polymers, hydrogels, conductive polymers, and nanomaterials. Shadia J. Ikhmayies earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Physics Department at the University of Jordan in 1983 and 1987, respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in producing CdS/CdTe thin-film photovoltaic solar cells from the same department and university in 2002. She has served as a faculty member in various Jordanian universities. Her research focuses on producing and characterizing semiconductor thin films and thin-film CdS/CdTe solar cells. Additionally, she works on computational characterization of various materials.
